Hobo With A Shotgun (2011)

In a corrupt city where the law means nothing a homeless man cashes in his nickles and dimes for a shotgun, delivering justice one shell at a time. 

I was amazed at how brilliant the fake trailer for this looked back when Death Proof and Planet terror were released, I longed to see it made into a real film; and in 2011 it happened and boy oh boy what a film! 

Hobo With A Shotgun surprised me because it out did my expectations. The most surprising thing about it is despite all the stupid dialogue and gratuitous gore this is a really well made, well executed throwback to the old Grindhouse pictures. It has moments where you honestly believe this was made in the early 80s.

Rutger Hauer plays the Hobo perfectly, he is hilarious and lovable. His acting in this is over the top in parts (because it is obviously meant to be) but mostly he acts as if he is in a highbrow movie which helps this film a lot. High five to the creators for that choice! 

A fun, simple, gory romp through the lawless streets of Hope town. Grab your shopping trolley and your shotgun and lets sleep in some bloody carcasses, tonight!
