ALL ABOUT FILM
Toy Story 3 (2010)
The third instalment of the Toy Story saga sees our beloved toys trapped in a day-care centre after their owner Andy heads to college.
After twelve years it finally arrived and Toy Story 3 is exactly what we have been waiting for. Pixar have created yet another masterpiece with this and sitting in the cinema seeing Woody and co on the big screen the building had turned into a time machine and I instantly became a kid again.
The entire film really continues the look and feel of the previous two Toy Story films and this is what made 3 feel so right. The jokes are hilarious and there are so many that no-one cannot laugh at this. (Look out for a certain scene with Mr. Potato Head.) But the film has a lot of heart too which is why these films will always be way ahead of anything Dreamworks does.
Toy Story 3 will have you in tears especially if you’re born late eighties early nineties and grew up with this franchise. Not to say the new generations won’t find it sad but mainly for people who are my age this is a huge and monumental film, Toy Story 3 is very important to us.
I couldn’t have been more happier with the way this film turned out and for the team at Pixar these were big shoes to fill after the behemoths that were 1 & 2, but they managed to pull it off with enough charm, dedication and love that Toy Story 3 has become an instant classic. This trilogy is now one of the best in cinema history and I can’t wait for the blu-ray so I can take the Woody and Buzz adventure over and over again.
