ALL ABOUT FILM
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 (2010)
Part 1 of 2 of the Harry Potter final sees everyones favourite trio hiding from the clutches of the Death Eaters and Voldemort whilst trying to find and destroy all the Horcruxes.
This is one of the best Harry Potter films released yet. It’s a fun, dark family film that will be a hit with the kids and their parents who bring them. I’m a Harry Potter novice (I haven’t read the books*) so I didn’t know what to expect from this chapter of the saga but I can happily say I wasn’t disappointed.
The most surprising thing to come from Part 1 were the performances from the three leads. Especially Radcliffe. Harry is by far the most matured character. Radcliffe’s performance in The Half Blood Prince was nothing special but in this he stands out above the rest and this was the Potter we’ve all been waiting to see.
A great film with style, heart and not forgetting the horrific feeling of the impending doom which was executed well. It’s an enthralling adventure and I look forward to seeing Part 2 next year.

* On a side note: I never compare films to the books they were born from. They are two different forms of media and shouldn’t be placed in the same boat. If a film turns out to be rubbish and you hear some say “It’s not as good as the book” tell them to go home and read the book.
